Kaya Kinondo Forest

Cultural and ecotourism project for the Digo coastal community

Experience the Kaya coastal culture walk in the sacred forest. Have a chance to see the endangered species of the flora and fauna. Kaya Kinondo is the only forest open to visitors among the nine tribes along the coast. Ceremonies are centred around the most sacred area of the Kaya especially the burial site for the elderly where they believe the spirits dwell.

Half day Mombasa City Tour

Experience the sights and sounds of the Swahili culture a mixture of the old and new Mombasa.

The tour leaves Diani beach at 08.00am and will begin with a drive through Mama Ngina drive heading towards Fort Jesus, the tour inside Fort Jesus takes about an hour and a half, then head towards the old town, Hindu Temple, the Marikiti Market, view the famous ‘Elephant tusks on Moi Avenue.

Lunch is optional at an extra cost.

Half day tour to Shimba Hills

Explore the one of the few remaining coastal forests in Kenya

Shimba Hills is a small game reserve 47km from Diani Beach, it is about 1 hours’ drive from most of the beach resorts. It is famous for the Sable Antelope found only in this park. Shimba hills is a rainforest with spectacular view, but there are no cats (lions, cheetahs) in this game reserve. Other animals that can be found in the park are Giraffes, Buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, antelopes, monkeys, baboons

The magnificent 21 m high Sheldrick Falls are in Shimba Hills, a hike down to the Sheldrick falls get’s your cardio up. This is a 2 hour walk to the falls and back up. It is advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes (trainers) and a hat for the Sun and lots of drinking water.

Wasini and Kisite Marine Park snorkeling tour

You can rent a bike and explore Diani beach for a minimum of $10 a day.  There are also guided tours to be offered to the villages and visits to snake parks and surround local markets, these tours are ideal to meet people and learn about the culture.

Funzi mangrove tour

Bird and nature lovers will enjoy this tour. Take a canoe over drive up ramisi river and as you go bird watching and enjoy the mangroves.

Enjoy swimming and Sun bathing on the Sun bank as you wait for your lunch.

Diani Sunset Tours

You can join the Diani Sunset tours which last for about 3 hours. The tours are tide dependent and can depart when the tide is in.

The tour ends at the Kongo river estuary. For additional cost you can opt for dinner at the Estuary restaurant and born fire.
